Gruffie is a process consultant committed to building high performance teams and facilitative leaders. Her work in the areas of leadership and organizational development includes a unique mixture of assistance to programs and organizations both nationally and internationally and in the private as well as public sectors. Recent work has taken her to Sri Lanka, Siberia, Mongolia, Vietnam, Nepal, Tibet, South Korea and throughout Europe, East Africa, South America and the United States, where she has worked in corporate, governmental and adventure settings with dynamic teams who accomplished unique goals. Gruffie works as a coach, trainer, facilitator and speaker to enhance the work that leaders and teams do.
She has designed and facilitated multiple change initiatives, and has conducted process improvement and change initiatives in North America, Mexico, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa and South America.
She has an ongoing relationship with thirty-five cities, counties and communities that are involved in extensive collaborative programs that involve business, non-profit, government and citizen participation. This work involves designing and facilitating collaborative public and private sector initiatives.
Gruffie is one of the authors of “Trendbenders: Building Vital Communities.” She is an author of “Facilitating Community Partnerships,” a community change model and training guide used to increase team members’ interaction, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
For six years she has been a consultant to World Team Sports, an organization that sponsors extraordinary adventures for disabled athletes, including various cycling expeditions in the United States and Vietnam.
Gruffie received her B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado and her master’s degree from the University of Colorado. She lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband, Bob, and is an avid runner, climber, and cyclist.
